12: A writing prompt for every day of the year

See this content in the original post

This episode of ill communication is going to help you come up with content for any day of the year.

As you may know, about once a month on the podcast I share a writing prompt to give you a little inspiration for what to write about. Whether you’re looking for an idea for an email, blog article, or social media post, this writing prompt has saved me many times when I’m brain-dead and can’t think of what to write.

The best part is that this writing prompt is so simple. All you have to do is check out what national day it is that day! There are websites that list every holiday. All you have to do is scroll through that website and see what inspires you.

You can connect it to your business if it works for you. However, you don’t have to. You can also just use it to bring a little delight, entertainment, and joy.

Topics We Cover in This Episode:

  • How to use national days as writing prompts

  • Tips for using it for business

  • Tips for using it to build the “know, like, and trust” factor

Remember, you don’t always have to be teaching people things. I love this prompt because it’s so important to surprise and delight your people, bring a smile to their faces, and bring a little joy to our often dreary lives.

The next time you’re stumped and looking for some writing inspiration, visit daysoftheyear.com and get your juices flowing!
